Liturina
Iain Hall (recorder) and Gabi Jones (violin) founded Liturina in 2017 whilst studying at the RCM. Joined by their basso continuo team of Samuel Ng (cello/gamba) and Dominika Maszczynska (keyboard) they have seen recent success with their selection as BREMF Live! artists, appearance in the final of York IYAC and nominaton for Making Music’s PDGYA scheme. 2024 will see the release of their debut album ‘Bach x Mansfield’ and the ensemble has been supported by Continuo Foundation and RCM Accelerate.
Ana y La Locura
Ana y La Locura is a period instrument ensemble specialising in storytelling, and unusual pairings of baroque song and dance music.
This year their programme 'Je Suis La Folie' has premiered at Handel Hendrix House, St Clement Danes and Festival de La Gente, France.
Core members of La Locura include singer and percussionist Ana Beard Fernandez, cellist and recorder player Iain Hall and lute player Kristiina Watt. Collaborators also include keyboard specialists Thomas Allery, Dominika Maszczynska, and theorbo/chitarra player Johan Lofving.
Minerva Baroque
Minerva Baroque was founded by four leading young musicians with a shared goal of exploring London’s musical heritage. The ensemble tells stories around the life and influences of Handel, programming a wide range of repertoire from the familiar to the lesser known. With works by Purcell and snapshots of the folk influences celebrated in Playford, Minerva conjures the eclectic voices that shaped our city at the turn of the eighteenth century, whilst future plans include music by Scarlatti and Corelli to offer a view of the Italy that inspired Handel before his journey to England. Presenting both vocal and instrumental music, the group traces connections across Europe, aiming to delight its audiences whilst offering fresh perspectives.
